This morning I am reminded of a saying I’ve had posted in my office for the last two years. The more I meditate on it, the deeper and richer it becomes.
“The WORD produces FAITH – FAITH produces GRACE – GRACE produces POWER.” ~Creflo Dollar
I’ve got a lot to do today with some pretty high expectations for what will be the outcome of today’s actions. But is it in my To Do List that I will find success? Actions are important, of course. But I am reminded that true success comes from reliance upon the Word of God.
“I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings and will not be put to shame. For I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.” (Psalm 119:46-47 Amplified Bible)
“Remember (fervently) the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have caused me to hope.” (Psalm 119:49 Amplified Bible)
I love that image of God “fervently remembering” His word to me. For when trouble comes (pressure to perform, too many demands and not enough time, inconvenient disruptions, failures and set backs) I surely do need to be reminded of His word and His plans for me.
When I delight myself in His word and promises (by thinking of them, speaking them over myself and my circumstances, holding tightly onto them), hope for their fulfillment rises up in me and know that regardless of the experience of the moment, He will bring me into the prosperous life promised for His children.
