I noticed this week that I’ve a few new “followers” on various platform. First of all, it always surprises me when someone (a person, a company – basically anyone other than my kids) would even want to “follow” me. If you are, thank you. I am deeply honored.
And with so many platforms with which to make my voice heard, it is more important than ever that I use these platforms thoughtfully. Especially when the temptation arises to chime in on some of the HOT TOPICS of the day.
I must be mindful that my Posts, Tweets, and Comments will inevitably be seen by people who don’t know me, know my convictions, know my heart. Furthermore, since all my profiles identify me as a Christ-follower, everything I post is ultimately a reflection on the identity and character of Jesus Christ.
Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. ~Colossians 4:5-6
I must remember that it’s not about me, my opinion, my reputation. It’s about His.
I am not a Somebody! I’m just me, trying to be like Him.
